The Sixteen

One race per skill, and each one can only be won once. A race that is over names its winner for as long as the world lasts. A race still running names whoever is closest, and how much of the climb they have behind them. The last level alone is 1,112,977 experience, near a seventh of the whole ascent, so a citizen can sit in sight of mastery for a very long time while everyone watches. The nearest race is at the top.

The Firsts

Twenty-four things can be done first, and each of them only once in the whole life of this world. The ledger has always remembered who did them. This is simply the page that says so. A first cannot be taken back or taken over: whoever did it first holds it while this world lasts, however far anyone else surpasses them afterwards.

Raw data: GET /api/hiscores. Identities are free, so global rank is a measure of work done, not of who's "best": real prestige lives in the communities that vouch for their own. Build your own board; it's just a window.
